Mark Elterman, Partner for Mental Marketing, has a 15 year history of strategic marketing planning, development and implementation of corporate marketing programs. As the Vice President of Custom Publishing for McMurry, Inc., Mark was responsible for the strategic development of all custom branded publishing relationships. In this nine-year post, he was instrumental in repositioning and growing the company to become the largest full-service marketing communications agency in Arizona. Over the past 14 years, Mark’s diverse array of clients included The Ritz Carlton Magazine, USAA, 24 Hour Fitness, MADD, Citibank, Chase, GlaxoSmithKline, American Express and Centex Destination Properties. Additionally, Mark has consulted for various organizations on the field of branded publishing including Reader’s Digest, the Direct Marketing Association and RMS Media Group.

With this experience and his background in graphic communications, he has the ability to understand business and branding strategies. William is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Mental creative department, where his extensive knowledge of branding and marketing in printing, video and interactive design provide clients with a comprehensive array of creative tools. Over the years, Maryann has conceptualized and managed all facets of client campaigns within government, wine, financial, tourism, healthcare, real estate and b-to-b categories. A champion of San Luis Obispo County, she has promoted the San Luis Obispo Downtown Association, the City of San Luis Obispo to tourists and worked with national and international Chambers of Commerce to develop and promote similar tourist attractions for their own cities. Maryann’s list of thrilled clients includes: La Bellasera Hotel & Suites, Centex Homes, Yahoo.com, wine.com, Edna Valley Vineyards, Friends of Hearst Castle, First Bank of California, and CellularOne.

Tina Swithin, account coordinator, develops new client relationships and coordinates all facets of program logistics. This includes overseeing events, promotions research, advertising scheduling and trafficking. She brings a wealth of knowledge from her decade-long experience as a business owner, office manager and marketing promotions director. Prior to joining Mental, Tina was co-founder of SLO County Passport where she handled all aspects of public relations, promotions and operations. She was also co-founder and president of SLO County Sitters, Inc. overseeing staff of 50 childcare professionals serving more than 200 families. Tina was also awarded Top 20 under 40 by SLO Tribune and Top 40 under 40 by the Pacific Coast Business Times.

Kelly Chamberlin, Public Relations Manager, brings more than 15 years of public relations and event planning/promotion experience, and has worked with grand luxury resorts, urban boutique hotels, popular travel destinations and high-end consumer goods. She has a strong background in public relations and has worked at companies such as the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau, where she worked closely with print and broadcast media worldwide to promote the city’s attractions, hotels and restaurants. Kelly also brings an insider’s perspective to hotel public relations, having worked at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco’s only Mobil Five Star, AAA Five Diamond hotel at that time. Preceding her public relations career, Kelly held several prestigious positions in the field of advertising, fundraising and event planning. She began her career at the renowned advertising agency Young & Rubicam working on several accounts for DuPont. She then went to work for United Way in Boston as an account executive managing and planning special events for corporate donors. She further developed her fundraising, event planning and writing skills working at Harvard University planning and promoting high profile events. Kelly has a passion for travel, food and wine. Utilizing these skills, she has edited three guidebooks including Where to Wear San Francisco, Fodor’s Travel Guide to Arizona and the Eyewitness Travel Guide to San Francisco. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Delaware, and has taken courses in public relations and writing at Harvard University. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), California Travel Industry Association (CalTIA), the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and the Commonwealth Club. She resides in San Francisco.

Chris Dennis brings 13 years of design experience and an enthusiasm for creating and transforming conceptualization into a tangible thing. He started his career in print design and packaging then transitioned into producing television commercials and motion graphics. An Addy award winning designer and producer, Chris brings a multitude of skills to the table including: graphic design, brand identity, packaging, audio/video editing and production, motion graphics, photography and illustration.
