Public Relations

How do you build brand reputation in cluttered category?

Client: A&R Furniture and Interiors

The Purpose:

Overcome negative perception of store closing and soft demand for major luxury purchases.

Mental Approach:

Integrated public relations efforts with high-profile nonprofit events and store “room makeover” contests to drive traffic. Provided story development and staged room environments to demonstrate that A&R was committed to the community and to helping people of all budgets find their own sense of style.

Result:

Targeted local print and television media coverage touting sponsorship of the St. Jude Dream Home giveaway and room makeover contests. The campaigns overcame negative perceptions, increased store traffic, increased prospect and customer database and, most importantly, increased sales.

How do you generate buzz for a new retail store franchise … and keep it buzzing?

Client: We Olive & Wine Bar

The Purpose:

Generate consumer interest for the opening of a new olive oil tasting bar franchise and sustain the interest through a store retrofit of its new wine tasting bar … all on a tight budget.

Mental Approach:

Worked with our local publicist affiliate to create an experiential in-store media event to showcase the unique olive oil tasting experience and pique media interest in the wine bar retrofit. Ongoing media pitching positioned the franchise manager as local expert of Certified California Extra Virgin Olive Oil, followed by a more intimate media event upon retrofit completion.

Result:

Extensive local culinary, travel and lifestyle television, print and online media coverage achieved the highest store transactions of the brand portfolio. With millions of media impressions at low cost per impression, the effort stimulated coverage from national and international travel, lifestyle and culinary outlets and generated opportunities for additional franchises.
